All British Royals have certain rules and protocols that they need to follow. The majority of these things are reportedly products of traditions that can be traced back many centuries ago.

Many of these royal rules are seemingly "logical." One great example of this is the restriction of the royal heirs to travel together. It reportedly makes total sense since if an accident happens, and all royal heirs are involved, this would certainly negatively impact the line of succession, and ultimately, the British Monarchy.

But, while many of the royal rules are reasonable, some are "weird," as per Cheat Sheet. One of these "weird rules" include the royal protocol that all British Royals should always travel with a "funeral outfit."

As explained, despite its morbidity, members of the British Royal Family must always be prepared for an "unexpected funeral." Accordingly, they always reportedly pack a complete "black ensemble" every time they fly out of the country.

The publication also listed the royal rule that British Royals are restricted to eat shellfish and garlic. As stated, this protocol emerged during the early periods when the safety of seafood consumption was "less assured." So, this largely focuses on the health and safety of the royals.

As for the restrictions over eating garlic, it remains unclear why it is prohibited within the family. But, reports said that it was Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, who revealed this rule before the public upon her previous guesting in MasterChef.

But, among all the "weird" royal rules and restrictions, it is the banning of the Monopoly board game that has been deemed to be the weirdest of all. As per the Daily Express, British Royals are not allowed to play the said board game "at home."

It remains unclear, though, if it was Queen Elizabeth II who made the rule. But, it was Prince Andrew who revealed the matter in 2008.

Reports said that the Duke of York attended an event at the "newly-refurbished Albion Street headquarters of the Leeds Building Society. To mark his attendance and visit, he was reportedly given a Monopoly board game.

However, the Queen's second son had to "politely decline" the gifted board game. As reported, Prince Andrew revealed that they are "not allowed" to play Monopoly at home.

It is also unclear what is the reason behind the shocking restriction. But, the Duke of York reportedly mentioned that it causes huge arguments among British Royals as the game gets "too vicious."
