On Friday, Melania Trump and some members of the First Family expressed their thoughts on the huge uproar in Minneapolis. This comes after the death of George Floyd in the hands of a police officer.

Through social media, the First Lady shared her "first public sentiments" about the matter. She said that the United States allows "peaceful protests." However, she called out the violence that has come with the protests made in the city. There is "no reason" for it, she added.

Melania also shared her "deepest condolences" to the Floyd family. She then ended her post by urging the public to "focus on peace, prayers, and healing."

According to CNN, Melania Trump's thought has seemingly manifested a different tone than her husband, Donald Trump. As stated, the US President's posts on social media have appeared to "condone violence" amid the public's outrage in Minneapolis.

He said that "these THUGS" are "dishonoring" George Floyd and his memory. He then went on to assert that they will "assume control" with the difficulties. However, he reportedly pointed out that "when the looting starts," and so is the "shooting."

The publication revealed that the tweet made by Donald Trump was "flagged" by the platform. As explained, the post violated Twitter's rules and guidelines against the glorification of violence.

The First Couple's different perspectives and takes on the current crisis in the city are not reportedly the first time that this happened. It is said that Melania Trump and Donald Trump have repeatedly "clashed" in terms of their public thoughts on several occasions.

Just this month alone, the reports noted that the First Couple has a very different take on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's guidelines and recommendations about wearing masks. While the US President largely "defies" the guidelines, her wife, Melania has repeatedly encouraged everyone to wear masks, especially in public. She also reportedly posted photos and videos of herself wearing masks.

Aside from Melania Trump, Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr also reportedly shared their sentiments on social media about the unfortunate death of George Floyd. An incident that the US President deemed as a "grave tragedy," and an event that "should never have happened," according to Business Insider.

The First Daughter said in her post that the public is "hurting for a reason." She then asserted that "justice" is the only way to heal.

On Don Jr's end, he said that what happened was "disgusting." He also stated that people are "right to be angry." However, he reportedly expressed that this is "never an excuse" for violent riots to happen.
