Melania Trump and Donald Trump flew to different locations on Monday to mark this year's Memorial Day. The First Couple reportedly made several public appearances on the day in celebration of the federal holiday.

Reports noted, however, that while the majority of the attendees of the events wore masks and face coverings, the same could not be said for the US President and his wife. As stated, they made their public engagements even without wearing masks.

According to Business Insider, the First Lady seemingly "ignored" her own advice when it comes to wearing face coverings and masks. Since the start of the pandemic crisis, she repeatedly emphasized the strict compliance with the guidelines given by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. These guidelines include the proper social distancing guidelines and face masks to decrease the risks of contracting the virus.

As noted, Melania Trump released several videos and posts on social media platforms to encourage the public in following the guidelines. She even reminded her followers on social media about the social distancing measures and face coverings as latest as the last week of April.

But, despite all the reminders and encouragement, the First Lady, "like" Donald Trump, did not wear masks amid their attendances on events during Memorial Day.

Melania Trump and the US President went to the Arlington National Cemetery and Fort McHenry in Baltimore. Although the measures for the social distancing were largely observed, reports said that the First Lady held hands with a military aide as she stepped off the stage. It was also asserted that this was a clear violation of the distancing protocol.

Several publications reportedly asked for the White House's comment on the matter. But, unfortunately, no response has yet to be received.

Daily Mail reported, however, that the First Lady did wear a mask on Memorial Day. But, as per claims, she was only seen wearing one during her flight when she boarded the Marine One with her husband.

Some photos were published showing Melania Trump wearing a mask inside the Presidential helicopter. As described, she wore a white mask, which reportedly complemented her overall white coat attire.

In the end, though, Melania Trump has not seemingly received overflowing criticisms on social media. When she posted an update on her Twitter account regarding the holiday, several netizens, especially her followers, praised and thanked her for her efforts and appearances on the events to mark this year's Memorial Day in the country.
