Since the emergence of the novel coronavirus, Melania Trump has repeatedly discussed the importance of wearing masks and staying at home to prevent the further spread of the virus. She released PSA videos and other social media posts in the last few weeks to highlight her messages.

But, aside from the words of encouragement and reminders to the American people, reports revealed that she has also implemented "strict" protocols inside the White House, especially in the East Wing. As stated, even her "abides" into these rules given that she was the one who imposed them.

According to Express UK, the strict implementation of social distancing guidelines and lockdown protocols come as "two staffers" inside the White House tested positive for COVID-19. The East Wing's Chief of Staff, Stephanie Grisham, reportedly, said that Melania Trump has required everyone in the East Wing and the Executive Residence to wear masks.

But, as for those who cannot wear masks, for some reason, these individuals should, reportedly, get tested before coming into contact with the First Lady.

Aside from the masks and testing protocols, the publication also shared that Melania Trump "cut back" on staff members for both the East Wing and the White House residence. While the "non-essential staff" has been asked to stay home and work only when called, "some 90 full-time" employees have, reportedly, remained inside the premises to continue with their respective jobs.

The non-essential employees, reportedly, include the social secretary, in-house florists, calligraphers, kitchen staff, butlers, and eight ushers. Meanwhile, only 12 employees have remained working "directly" for Melania Trump.

Reports further asserted that the individuals who have continued to go to work inside the East Wing and the Executive Residence regularly "undergo" temperature checks before entering the vicinity. While these are great protocols that would certainly help slow down the spread of the virus, and even eliminate the risks, several White House officials and employees are, reportedly, still "scared" of going out of their homes to go to work.

As per People, one of the administration's top economic advisors, Kevin Hassett said that it is "scary to go to work" inside the White House. He also, reportedly, asserted that it would be "a lot safer" if he stays inside his home.

But, regardless of the situation, he continued to share that amid the pandemic crisis, it is the "time" when people must "step up" and continue serving the country.
