Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have changed their priorities after the birth of their firstborn Archie. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had a love-hate relationship with the media for quite a long time, but they decided to completely avoid the spotlight to protect their son by announcing back in January that they are quitting Royal Life.

But just because Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are no longer working royals, that does not mean that they are not part of the Royal Family anymore. In fact, a new report revealed that Archie will still be a Prince whether the couple likes it or not.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wished to raise Archie as a private citizen. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex registered their son as Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor even though the little boy was entitled to take his father’s subsidiary title Earl of Dumbarton.

According to royal experts, Archie is still destined to be a duke and a prince despite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal exit. The one-year-old will inherit the Duke of Sussex title after his father’s death even though his parents wish to distance him from the royal bubble. He will also be a prince when Queen Elizabeth dies.

“Archie will on the death of his father become Duke of Sussex,” royal expert Iain MacMarthanne said. “Presently he is at liberty by convention to called Earl of Dumbarton being his father’s senior subsidiary titles.”

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle relocated to the US after they officially completed their final engagement as senior royals. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stayed briefly in Canada before heading to Los Angeles for a fresh start.

After quitting Royal life, the public has not seen much of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Then last month, the Duchess of Sussex has finally been seen for the first time in weeks in a video call.

Meghan Markle was speaking to one of the clients at Smart Works, which she is a patron of. In the video, the wife of Prince Harry praised the client for being “such a beacon of hope” and “focusing on getting through this.”

Previous reports claimed that Meghan Markle’s passion for charity work is inspired by her mother Doria Ragland. The Duchess of Sussex has been doing charity works even before she and Prince Harry met and tied the knot in 2018. She grew up in Los Angeles and her mother encouraged her to be helpful to others despite not having “much.”
