J-Hope is dubbed as “Sunshine” by ARMYs because of his bright and bubbly personality. The BTS rapper also loves making his members and their fans laugh, confirming that the title perfectly suits him.

So when V ranked J-Hope as the second scariest member of BTS when mad in a previous fan meet event, a lot of ARMYs were shocked. That’s when fans started to notice the “Ego” hitmaker’s serious side and finally understood V’s revelation in several clips.

J-Hope may have a smile that could light up a room, but when he’s serious, he can get pretty intimidating. ARMYs noticed that J-Hope gets very serious when he wants to bring order to their performances. He is also very professional and expects his members to be the same way.

But Jungkook is someone who mixes fun and professionalism during work. This led J-Hope to show his “scary” side to control the Golden Maknae’s behavior. In fact, while ARMYs are bursting into wu’s while calling J-Hope their “Sunshine,” Jungkook’s title for him is “discipline hyung.”

However, this trait of J-Hope is not taken negatively by the rest of the boys. When it comes to making their performances successful, they all rely on the BTS rapper’s leadership. RM even consider JH as the second leader of BTS.

And sometimes, J-Hope needed to be that “discipline hyung” for Jungkook. During their music video shoot in American Hustle Life, JK decided to play around the pool when he already had his makeup and outfit on. When JH saw this, he knew he had to bring order to the situation and told the Golden Maknae to stop what he was doing. “Stop messing around. Stop it!” J-Hope told Jungkook with a serious tone. But in a typical J-Hope vibe, he smiled at the camera and even laughed while explaining that he can’t understand why Jungkook had to do that. “He’s usually like that, but this a bit too much,” he said. (Watch the clip here).

One time, Jungkook also kept bothering J-Hope who was practicing his line for their concert in Paris. After JK calling out his name numerous times, JH finally looked at him with a “scary” face, while saying his speech out loud. The Golden Maknae was not scared of his “discipline hyung” at all as he even calmly taught him how to say “merci beaucoup.” (Watch the clips here and here).

The reason why the word “scary” had quotation marks is because ARMYs find J-Hope’s “scary” face not to be scary, but cute. Fans also find his serious side to be extremely sexy. Many said that J-Hope is easily the sexiest member of BTS when he’s serious.
