V has spent a good chunk of his life with BTS. Although the group is only celebrating its seventh year this year, the members have been together for a decade.
RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook would be the first ones to admit that they spent more time with their members than with their family. That being said, BTS formed a strong friendship that could last a lifetime.
In the final episode of BTS’s new docuseries Break The Silence, V revealed what he really thinks of his members. Understandably, being with the boys for a long time has its up and downs as their journey together is certainly not all rainbows and butterflies. In fact, the “Singularity” singer even had a legendary fight over dumplings with Jimin in the past.
But despite some of their not-so-great times together, V sees the BTS members as people who he truly cherishes. “Not only are they dear to me, but they are people I can’t live without,” he said.
V noted that when he falls, he’s not going to get back up alone. “We all rise up together,” he shared.
BTS has been each other’s strength when they’re weak, assurance when they’re doubtful, path when they’re lost, and more. V shared that having RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, and Jungkook during his dark days helped him become a strong person.
“There were times when I couldn’t get back up on my own two feet,” he said. “The fact that we were getting back up together was a great source of strength for me.”
Sometimes words were not even needed for V to feel whole when he’s alone. In a previous episode of Break The Silence, the “Winter Bear” singer recalled feeling alone in his hotel room during one of their tours. He said that his and J-Hope’s balconies were just a few inches apart, and when he saw the BTS rapper from the window, he felt a sense of assurance.
J-Hope then shared that V sent him a text message asking if he wanted some apples. The “Ego” rapper said that he fell asleep and only read his message two hours later. The other boys laughed and RM even asked if they were “Apple buddies,” but V explained that after being alone for so long, knowing that J-Hope is there made the situation bearable.
