BTS is arguably the biggest boy group on the planet right now. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are not only dominating the K-pop scene, but they are successful all around the world.

But just because BTS is living their dreams as performers and money is not an issue for them it does not mean that their lives are all rainbows and butterflies. In fact, Jin and RM revealed that they are jealous of their friends outside the entertainment world.

Their revelation was shocking yet understandable at the same time. It’s not that hard to see why many would be jealous of the BTS members, as they have fame, fortune, and more. But for the boys to envy their non-celebrity friends was a bit of a shocker to fans.

In Episode 6 of BTS’s new docuseries Break The Silence, Jin opened up about how his friends envy his life and how he envy their lives. “My friends tell me that they envy my life, but I really envy my friends’ lives sometimes,” he said.

RM quickly agreed, saying that he experiences the same thing with his friends. The BTS leader shared that his pals would tell him that “You’ll never have to worry about finding a place to live.” Then Jin pointed out that their friends don’t have to worry when they walk around the streets like they do.

While BTS has financial freedom, they are not free to go anywhere they want. This appears to be one of the main things that RM and Jin were jealous of their friends.

Suga perfectly described the whole thing with the famous line, “the grass is always greener on the other side.” The BTS rapper noted that people would always want something that they don’t have. “When you look at what others have, it seems much more special,” he said.

Just like Jin and RM, Suga also knows how it feels to be jealous of others who could do things that he couldn’t do. The BTS rapper had always said that he doesn’t have friends (aside from the BTS members), so his revelation was about people as a whole.

“I’m really jealous of people who can go out to eat, travel, go to the movies with friends, and things like that,” he said. “Those things are really special to me because I find them hard to do.”
