Super Junior has been around for 15 years but they have proven yet again that they can still roll with the best of the Kpop industry. Their recent Beyond Live concert on the VLive netted a total of 2.8 billion hearts before the broadcast ended, proving the strong love the fans have for them after a decade and a half in the industry.

Kpop groups are evolving along with the new normal brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic in different parts of the world, and SM Entertainment has partnered with streaming platforms like Naver's VLive to seek creative ways to deliver content to the fans in lieu of the typical concert tours.

According to a report, for SM Entertainment alone, the Coronavirus has led to a 39.9 decrease in business profits and 25.4 percent in revenue for the first quarter of the year. By the Online Customized Paid Concerts streamed as Beyond LIVE, the company is seeking to narrow down the deficit and provide an alternative means for artists to connect with their fans.

Super Junior, the second generation Kpop idol group that will be celebrating its 15th debut anniversary this year brought its Super Show series to VLive with Beyond the Super Show.

On May 31st,  the concert netted 123,000 unique viewers which is equivalent to attendance from eight concerts with 15,000 seating capacity. The main camera, which focuses on all the members received 1.3 billion hearts while the cameras trained on individual members accumulated 1.5 billion hearts by the end of the broadcast.

It was not a surprise, given that it was a night to remember for Super Junior and their loyal fandom, ELFs, they went back to memory lane by kicking off the show with their hit song Superman. The rest of the setlist was made up of the best songs from their different albums, including Mamacita, Devil, Sorry Sorry, U, and Black Suit. They also included two of their latest hit songs 2YA2YAO and Super Clap and kept the energy going for the entire night.

Super Junior  K.R.Y, made up of Super Junior's vocal line Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and Yesung also gave fans a sample from their upcoming album When We Were Us when they performed the song Home.

TVXQ's Changmin, who recently released his solo album, was also present as a special guest for the concert. He led ELFs in lighting up their phones collectively with the sign SJ <3 which was projected in the screen behind the members.

ELFs were also treated with a Titan version of Choi Siwon, which seemed to pop out from the same screen before they performed Mamacita.

It was a meaningful and special concert for Super Junior and ELFs as the idols reached beyond the distance and showed their hearts for the fans through technology. They even got to field questions in a special Ask SuJu portion, Hello Kpop reported.
