Kpop stars are using their voice to support a very important issue affecting the world today and used their social media platforms to back the #BlackLivesMatter movement.

Among the stars who have vocalized their disgust over the reign of racism are CL, Jay Park, Red Velvet's Yeri, GOT7's Mark, and former SM Rookie trainee Seo Yerin.

In a series of posts, Yerin shared her outrage over the lack of support from major brands and corporations on the issue of equality and social justice. The former Idol School contestant said that these industry leaders should be the ones to speak about the issue and show that they care.

In an impassioned post, she deplored people who are ignoring the reality that people of color are being oppressed. She called on everyone to take action and join the fight against inequality by signing petitions, raising awareness, and speaking out.Red Velvet's Yeri echoed her sentiments and shared Yerin's post on her own social media page.

In her Instastory, CL also urged fans to sign a petition in support of black people's rights after the tragic death of George Floyd.

Meanwhile, two Kpop stars also backed up their support for the ongoing campaign to uphold black people's rights with financial support.

Jay Park recently tweeted that he donated $10,000 to the Black Lives Matter campaign. In a separate Instagram post, the rapper condemned the senseless death of George Floyd by the hands of a police officer who was sworn to uphold the law.

He said that he joined with the black community in mourning the death of Floyd. He also said that he felt outraged that people of color continued to be treated poorly in a country that touted equal opportunities for all.He also criticized the police for being part of a corrupt system that nobody wants to change because of countless years of abuse and injustice.

While he was more low key with his support for the Black Lives Matter movement, GOT7's Mark simply wished that the protesters would stay safe and well as they battled to assert their rights and seek justice for George Floyd. The Kpop idol donated $7,000 to the George Floyd Foundation in support of the cause.

It can be recalled that protests were ignited in the US over the weekend after the death of a black man named George Floyd after videos of him being brutally restrained by a police officer became viral. The man, who was suspected of paying with a counterfeit $20 bill was pinned to the ground and handcuffed by a police officer who kneeled on his neck the whole time. Despite protests that he could not breathe, he was ignored by the officer until he eventually died.
