railing Daechwita are Strange feat. RM, Burn it ft. Max, What Do You Think? Moonlight, People, Dear My Friend ft. Kim Jong Wan, and Interlude: Set Me Free. The final track to land on the Top 10 was Honsool.
Apart from the World Digital Song Sales chart, Daechwita also topped Billboard's World Albums Chart and took the second position on the Top Album Sales. It also ranked 11th in the Billboard 200 charts.
In a recent tweet, Forbes music reviewer credited Suga for achieving the rare feat. He said that it was even more impressive for the BTS member to achieve it with a solo artist mixtape and not as part of the globally renowned BTS.
It can be recalled that one of the songs on Agust D's mixtape recently ran into some controversy. Suga received criticism for using a voice sample of Jim Jones, a controversial cult leader who was responsible for the mass murder-suicide of 918 of his followers in the 70s.
The voice sample was used in the track What Do You Think? and was lifted from the controversial leader's speech one year prior to his death.Jim Jones grew to infamy when he led 918 of his followers in committing mass suicide by drinking juice laced with cyanide in a commune in Jonestown, Guyana, New York Times reported.
Jones also committed suicide by shooting himself in the head. The incident was tragic in itself but it was made even more heartbreaking with the fact that 304 of the victims were innocent children. In the voice sample that was used as part of the intro of What Do You Think? the cult leader talked about eternal life after death for those who believe.
Big Hit Entertainment has already issued an explanation and formal apology for its failure to exercise due diligence in checking the source of the voice sample. The agency explained that the track was selected by the producer without any intention of glorifying the source. The agency said that while the voice sample went through their screening, their failure to understand its historical significance led to an even bigger issue, All Kpop reported.
