ARMYs just can't get enough of BTS content so it comes as no surprise that new games inspired by BTS just keep coming.
According to a report by Soompi, gaming firm Grampus recently secured the global license for the gamification of BTS' intellectual property. This means that the company now has the rights to develop games based on BTS.
Grampus chief Kim Jee In said in a statement that they are happy to be showcasing the unique charm of BTS through mobile simulations. Insiders from Big Hit Entertainment, reportedly, said that Grampus was given the license for BTS gamification because the label was impressed with the quality of simulation games that the company released in the past.
Among Grampus' previous works are Cooking Adventure and My Little Chef, simulation games that have grown in popularity among gamers of Android and iOS. The target release for the new BTS game is within the first half of 2021.
Before Grampus starts on their project, it was reported that Netmarble released fresh information about the BTS game they have been developing with Big Hit Entertainment.
The game, which is called BTS Universe Story will be released sometime in the third quarter of the year.
In their conference call to announce their first-quarter earnings, the game development firm also announced updates on BTS Universe Story. They said that the release may take place sometime between July to September this year, Koreaboo reported.
Based on previously released information about the exciting game, the concept of the game will center around BTS Universe storyline beginning from 2015. It may also tap into BTS' music videos and its Map of the Soul era.
Netmarble, which previously partnered with Big Hit and BTS to develop BTS World, is also expected to include cut scenes as part of the gameplay experience.The firm recently released a teaser video which hints at puzzle-solving mysteries to be included in the actual game.
BTS is a favorite among gaming companies to be the subject of their new games because RM, Suga, Jin, Jimin, J-Hope, V, and Jungkook are avid gamers themselves.
Golden maknae Jungkook is an avid fan of Overwatch and could not be stopped when he is focused on his console. RM and J-Hope are also big fans of Starcraft. Jin likes cutesy games like The Lion King and MapleStory but he also loves the mobile game League of Legends. Jimin loves Super Mario Odyssey on Nintendo Switch and V made Player Unknown's Battlegrounds an instant fan favorite of ARMYs, Koreaboo reported.
