Aside from exploring the lives of the Reagan family in Blue Bloods season 11, Vanessa Ray's Eddie Janko storyline is also interesting. She is one of the most compelling characters within the series and moving forward, we're going to see her life further evolving -- both personally and professionally.
One of the stories for Eddie in Blue Bloods season 11 is whether or not she'll remain as an officer. This is not about her leaving NYPD instead, it's about her moving up with her ranks. Previously, she has taken the Sergeant's exam -- even before Jamie gets the post.
Eddie is more than accomplished and deserves to get a higher rank. Also, it would be nice to see her being recognized with her work. And aside from moving up with her rank, the series may also emphasize what makes Eddie a good cop.
Blue Bloods season 11 may show the right way how to be a police officer, which includes understanding and empathy. It could also show the willingness to speak when other officers are out of the line. With Eddie, these stories would allow her to be viewed more than just being a hero.
Meanwhile, we could also see Eddie being paired with others in the upcoming installment. This particular storyline is interesting, especially if she starts working alongside Danny exclusively. She can also work with Henry, wherein he needs her help when it comes to his past.
But apart from her professional life, it's also nice to see Eddie having some time away from her work. Perhaps, she could bond with some of her friends -- or her mother. The series doesn't usually feature stories like this, so this is an opportunity to include something like this.
Lastly, Blue Blood season 11 could feature Eddie mentoring Joe Hill. She's could probably help him, especially since she knows what it feeling being an outsider in the Reagan family. Eddie can guide Joe to everything and be familiar with everyone.
As for the release date of the upcoming installment, nothing is confirmed at the moment. Filming won't start anytime soon because of the real-life health crisis. The arrival of the new season will potentially be delayed, as cast and crew won't be able to go back working immediately.
Usually, the series arrives in the fall -- premiering in September and concluding in May. However, this particular schedule will not be followed in Blue Bloods season 11. The show will most likely start in production when the situation gets better.
