It has been quite evident that Jill Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard, are often not joining the Duggar family at some of the important events. As there are rumors that something is not right between them, Derick finally confirmed that Jim Bob prohibited them from visiting his home.
Jill Duggar and Derik Dillard did not attend the Duggar family's Christmas and Thanksgiving last year. This gave birth to suspicions that there is a problem between them. So, in an interview, the 31-year-old accountant finally revealed the truth.
Derik Dillard told The Sun that their visitation to the Duggar house has been restricted. As the family's home is where the Duggar girls often hang out, his wife cannot join any event. Also, they are not able to see other family members, making it difficult for them.
However, the couple is not entirely estranged to the family. They still invite the 29-year-old television personality's sisters and brothers-in-law. They are also hoping that they can mend this family issue one day.
He added that they are praying that God would restore their broken relationship, although he also acknowledged that only God could "change people's hearts and bring healing." He also talked about his upcoming tell-all book, where he would reveal some things that "have haunted people" for a lot of years. As he admitted that their story is complicated, he said it is not unique.
According to Daily Mail, Derick Dillard first made claims about Jim Bob as a response to fans who left comments on Instagram after Christmas. At the time, their followers were asking why they never spent time with Jill Duggard's family.
He already admitted then that they were not allowed to visit the house when his father-in-law was not there. Jill Duggar even had to ask for the patriarch's permission to go to their home to help her sister, Jessa. The latter asked Jill's help when she was about to give birth to her daughter, Ivy Jane, in May.
Sadly, the mother-of-two could not instantly move without his father's consent. As Jill Duggar is a midwife, she helped with the delivery. However, her involvement was not as smooth as it looked like in front of the camera.
Although Jill Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard, made it on Jessa's birth episode, they were not both present on Counting On. The father-of-two even confirmed that they were no longer part of 19 Kids and Counting because of their issue with Jim Bob.
