ABC has officially renewed A Million Little Things season 3, but the series still faces some uncertainties. Because of the real-life health crisis around the globe, everyone won't be able to start working. So, there's still a question as to when the cast and crew could go back filming.
Most TV shows and programs from different networks are facing several challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For A Million Little Things season 3, the most challenging part here is the international location, given that the series films in Vancouver.
Because of that, cast and crew are facing issues beyond implementing safety regulations on set. For instance, the travel and quarantine period is the major filming challenge. Considering the nature of the borders at the moment, CarterMatt noted that it would be a problem.
When everyone travels up north, they need to undergo quarantine for 14 days before they could officially start filming. In fact, this is something that showrunner DJ Nash confirmed in the recent Twitter post. They could not start working unless they go on quarantine.
Hence, everything may not start immediately in A Million Little Things season 3. It looks like there is a potential delay this time, given that cast and crew won't be able to travel all at once. Some of them may need some time. In addition, the top priority now is the health and safety of everyone.
In the previous installment, the series was one of the first shows to get back to work. But this won't be followed in A Million Little Things season 3 this time around. That also means the premiere date will potentially be delayed. At the moment, ABC hasn't yet released its fall schedule as well.
The good news is that the writing process is underway for the latest installment. But just like other shows, everything is being done virtually. This could be another challenge some things might be limited. What's more is that they have to resolve some of the cliffhangers left in the previous season.
In A Million Little Things season 3, one of the stories that should be addressed is what happened to Eddie. It remains to be seen whether or not he'll survive the car accident. In the final moment, the character broke his sobriety and called his wife to tell her how much he loved her. But, Eddie was hit by a car while crossing the street, leaving the character's fate up in the air.
