A Million Little Things season 2 recently concluded on ABC, and viewers are now wondering whether or not the series is coming back for more. Right now, there is still no clear answer about the fate of A Million Little Things season 3, given that the previous installment has just ended.

ABC hasn't yet announced the renewal status of A Million Little Things season 3, so the fate of the next installment is still up in the air. But despite the lack of confirmation, many believe the series would be renewed rather than being canceled.

The series performs well for the network and it also has a dedicated following because of its timely and powerful stories. In addition, it is also one of the few shows that navigate different timeslots over time and continues generating good ratings, making A Million Little Things season 3 more possible.

According to CarterMatt, the series has an average of 0.7 ratings in the 18-49 demographic, as well as more than 4.1 million live viewers. The demo is down over 20 percent from season 1, but things aren't that bad to the total viewers, which is down only 3 percent.

So, it's highly likely A Million Little Things season 3 will happen on ABC at some point. It is also reportedly higher-rated than other 10 PM shows on the network and topples Emergence and Stumptown. The series is also ahead of The Rookie, though things could change as the latter airs after American Idol.

As for the official renewal announcement, ABC may likely announce A Million Little Things season 3 renewal around May, as per CarterMatt. Yet, there's also a chance the announcement may take some time considering that current events happening around the world.

Meanwhile, the season 2 finale delivered some shocking events. In the final moments of the episode, Eddie decided not to break his sobriety. He then called his wife to tell her how much he loved her and he also wanted them to exchange vow even if just the two of them.

However, Eddie was hit by a car really hard while he was crossing the street, leaving his fate uncertain. Showrunner DJ Nash and series star David Giuntoli aren't saying whether Eddie is indeed dead or not. Hence, this is another story that might be explored in the potential next season.
