A Million Little Things season 2 is coming out this fall, so viewers need to wait a little while for now. Despite that, there were already details regarding the upcoming installment, and production is underway as well. For now, here's what we know so far about the second season.

It was previously announced that Chandler Riggs would have a "big part" in A Million Little Things season 2. Show executive producer DJ Nash confirmed this news via Twitter, saying that The Walking Dead alum's role would be important this time. He was first seen in season 1, but he didn't spend much time during that season. Aside from Riggs, some are also hoping Christina Ochoa will return.

Just recently, Nash once again revealed another detail about the upcoming season. When asked when will the trailer of season 2 comes out, the executive producer answered they're just finishing editing the premiere and hoping they could release it soon. Nash has been working on the forthcoming installment over the past few weeks, so there are a lot of expectations that come along with that.

But, CarterMatt speculated that when the season 2 trailer comes out, it wouldn't going to be a much of a trailer. It's probably more like of a promo rather than an official trailer, which could only last about 30 seconds or so. The teaser would likely deliver what viewers can expect, making them more excited about the upcoming installment.

The main cast members of A Million Little Things will return on the second season, including James Roday, Grace Park, Christina Moses, Allison Miller, David Giuntoli, Tristan Byon, Stephanie Szostak, Lizzy Greene, Chance Hurstfield, and Romany Malco. All of them were present during the first table read for season 2.

Right now, Nash hasn't yet revealed the plot of A Million Little Things season 2, though he told TV Guide he's planning to flip the cards, particularly in Rome's (Malco) storyline. He said that while viewers believe the story leads them in the right direction, they're going to see things differently in the second season. Thus, when Rome gets the suicide prevention hotline number from a poster at the hospital, it's not exactly what viewers think and expect.
