Kate Middleton and Prince William have been facing various controversies since they started dating in 2003. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were being hounded with pregnancy rumors, cheating allegations, and divorce reports, to name a few. Now, the Royal couple's foundation is said to be "suffering" another fresh blow since Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle decided to run their own organization.
Many fans were shocked after it was confirmed that Kate Middleton, Prince William, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle - who were also called the "awesome foursome" - decided to work separately. Reports have it that the separation was intended to prepare the Cambridges and Sussexes for their future roles in the British Monarchy.
After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to quit the Royal Foundation, it was reported that the CEO of the charity, Lorraine Heggessey, resigned from her post. Jason Knauf, who is the former communications chief of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, would take the highest post of the organization later this year. Kate Middleton and Prince William, in a statement, thanked Lorraine for her contributions to the organization.
"Lorraine has played an integral role in our charitable initiatives over the last two-and-a-half years. We are very grateful for her hard work and support, and wish her the very best for the future," Kate Middleton and Prince William stated in a joint statement. "We are pleased that Jason has been appointed as CEO and very much look forward to working with him in his new role," the parents of Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1, went on.
Meanwhile, reports suggested that Kate Middleton and Prince William's domination in the Royal Foundation is a "good move" despite the speculations saying that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's decision to quit from the Royal Foundation was caused by their alleged "rift" with the Cambridges. Erin Hill, who is a senior news editor at People Magazine, claimed that the Royal split allowed Kate and Meghan to become closer to each other.
"In fact, we are learning they have come back together even stronger, more as a family now rather than colleagues and it is really strengthening these relationships," the Royal expert stated. Erin added that even the kids are uniting the Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, too. She even recounted the time when Prince William, who is said to have a "rift" with his brother, welcomed Prince Harry in the "sleep deprivation club" when his baby was born.
Though the two Royal couples are still plagued with feud rumors up to this writing, recent sightings suggested that there is no bad blood between them. Stay tuned to Business Times for the latest news and updates about Kate Middleton and Prince William!
