Prince William and Kate Middleton are two of the most popular and well-loved members of the Royal family. However, things were not always smooth for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

When Princess Diana cradled Prince William in her arms on the steps of The Lindo Wing in 1982, royal fans were instantly hooked. The whole world then witnessed him grow up into a handsome young man, making him a sought-after bachelor.

That being said, the media was very interested in Prince William’s love life, and that’s when his early relationship with Kate Middleton was exposed. A report now revealed that the future King was “furious” that his romance with Kate was uncovered by paparazzi.

"In 2004, the relationship really did hit the public eye,” royal Editor at the Daily Mail Rebecca English said on Channel 5's William and Kate: Too Good to Be True documentary. “William was furious, and he was also genuinely worried for Kate and her family about what this would now mean for them."

Prince William may have been concerned that the royal life, meaning being followed by paparazzi, would too much for Kate Middleton and her family to handle. In fact, the media was partly to be blamed for their split brief in 2007.

A lot of people are familiar with the love story of Prince William and Kate Middleton. They became friends during their days at St. Andrews and started dating two years after they struck a friendship.

While dating a real-life Prince appears to be a scene out of a fairy tale, it certainly is not that easy and Kate Middleton witnessed this firsthand. The Duchess of Cambridge may have a great relationship with the media at the moment, but she struggled to adapt to paparazzi following her nonstop in the early years of her relationship with Prince William.

In fact, the unnecessary attention was so intense that the Royal family released a statement asking the media to leave Kate Middleton alone.

Then five years into their relationship, Prince William and Kate Middleton, who were in their mid-twenties, were pressured by the media to get engaged. However, the Duke of Cambridge was not ready to settle down at the time and the “intense media pressure” made him evaluate his relationship with Kate, as per E! News.

Prince William broke up with Kate Middleton over the phone, leaving the Duchess of Cambridge heartbroken. They eventually got back together, got married, and have three beautiful children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
