Greenleaf season 5 is officially premiering next week on OWN and it serves as the finale installment of the church drama. Even though the series is ending, a lot of stories are coming for all the characters, most especially to the Greenleaf family.
Recently, the official Twitter account of the series releases character posters. Each image features the members of the family, with a message: "The righteous will thrive like a green leaf." This could be the basis of almost everything in Greenleaf season 5.
Perhaps, the message suggests that riches and fame don't matter. Instead, those who believe pave their way to a fruitful future. Given that the fifth installment serves as the series finale, the story will focus on the family and how they think about their overall future.
They'll be facing different issues and struggles entering Greenleaf season 5. The family is in the midst of repairing their lives following the Harmony & Hope debacle. And because of that, they have to figure out whether or not they will establish a new church.
The family will do everything they can to save the Memphis megachurch, which is being taken over by Bob Whitmore and Harmony and Hope Ministries. But while trying to save it and reunite, the secrets from the past and present threaten to tear them apart.
In the season 4 finale, the family found themselves the biggest problems when it comes to the church. Charity desired to get what she wanted, but this led to the Harmony & Hope taking things over. That only means that the rest of the family has to deal with all the issues.
