Money Heist, a Spanish series that revolves around a group of thieves who undertake a daring heist on the Royal Mint of Spain, initially gained fame when it was released on Netflix in 2017. The series recently concluded its fourth season, with yet another cliffhanger that left the possibility of a fifth season wide open.

Money Heist received a lot of positive reviews from the audience all over the world who fell in love with the characters who all took the names of capital cities in the world such as Tokyo, Rio, Berlin, Denver, Helsinki, Moscow, Nairobi, Berlin and the ringleader identified only as the Professor.

Fans were impressed by how the original heist, which was covered by the first two seasons, played out, with the Professor trying to outsmart Inspector Murillo, who was, at the time, leading the team on the law enforcement side.

The third and fourth seasons saw the team reuniting after the success of their first heist, this time to save Rio, who was captured while in hiding. For their next daring attempt, they targeted the Bank of Spain to use the government's secrets to negotiate for Rio's return.

The Professor found another adversary in Inspector Alicia Sierra, who was even more ruthless and determined to take his team down. While Netflix still needs to confirm the fifth season, Spanish producer Jesús Colmenar confirmed that they were going ahead with a fifth installment, Express reported.
