Kate Middleton finally had her first public royal engagement since the coronavirus lockdown. The Duchess of Cambridge visited the garden center just near the royal's Anmer Hall home on Thursday, June 18.

According to People, Kate actually went to three different garden centers to help boost the local non-essential businesses, which just reopened after the U.K. eased off its lockdown measures.  She talked with the owners and staff, and asked them about their measures to ensure their safety.

Kate shared to the owners that her children love to go to garden centers. She is also encouraged to see that some people are starting to step out and going to beautiful outdoor places as the restrictions have slowly been removed all around the country.

The Duchess of Cambridge had her last public outing in the middle of March, when she and Prince William visited the frontliners at the London Ambulance Service call center. After this, Kate and Prince William, as well as their kids, traveled to Anmer Hall and stayed there to isolate from the coronavirus.

They have not seen the rest of the royal family members for nearly three months and have been communicating via video conferencing. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also conducted their meetings with various charities via Zoom.

It is believed that Prince William, Kate and their children -- Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis -- are going to remain in Anmer Hall for the foreseeable future. Prince George and Princess Charlotte are also not attending their face-to-face classes in their London school and have continued their homeschooling with the Duchess of Cambridge at Anmer Hall.

Meanwhile, as Kate was at the gardens, Prince William visited the local bakeries to talk to the owners. He talked to establishments around Norfolk which are family-run and have been in operation for 50 years.

Kensington Palace shared photos of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's visits to these shops. It comes as Queen Elizabeth sent a message to the British Chambers of Commerce and their members who have reopened their establishments.

While the rest of the royal family have resumed their in-person engagements this week, Queen Elizabeth will continue to isolate at Windsor Castle with Prince Philip. Royal experts said that Her Majesty will likely not be having face-to-face engagements for a long time because there is still no safe cure or vaccine for COVID-19. The Queen and Prince Philip are of the vulnerable sector due to their age.
