Meghan Markle lived in the UK after she and Prince Harry tied the knot in 2018. The former actress knew that she had to adapt the royal life after marrying a real-life prince.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go well for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Just two years after their marriage, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they will be stepping down as senior royals.
After officially withdrawing from their roles at the end of March, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved to the US with their son Archie for a fresh start. Since they are no longer working royals, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are free to do whatever they want.
A new report now claims that Meghan Markle got her eyes on the US Presidency. Royal author Lady Colin Campbell said that the Duchess of Sussex plans to move into the White House.
“I know the Duchess of Sussex has political ambitions and I’ve been told that one day she wants to run for President.” Lady Campbell, who has written a book on the couple called “Meghan and Harry the real story,” told the Daily Mail. She added that the Duchess of Sussex leaving the royal family and going back to the US with Princ Harry was a part of her plan.
If this is indeed true, there is a high chance that Meghan Markle will receive even more backlash for this decision. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were labeled “cruel” for abandoning the royal family amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Meanwhile, It is known by many that Meghan Markle doesn’t have a good relationship with her family. So when they say something negative about Prince Harry’s wife, it is quite expected. However, some of their comments are still quite shocking.
For instance, Meghan Markle’s brother Thomas Markle Jr. said that his sister made “a joke of the Royal Family.” He believed that Prince Harry’s wife didn’t leave a positive impact at all.
Meghan Markle’s brother was talking about the former actress being branded as “Duchess Difficult” after a series of resignations happened just a few months she and Prince Harry got married. It was previously reported that the Duchess of Sussex was hard to work for, garnering her that nickname from some quarters of the palace.
Thomas Markle Jr. is not the only member of the Markle clan that has publicly spoken about Prince Harry’s wife. In fact, their dad, Thomas Markle Sr. previously called the Duchess of Sussex “embarrassing” and revealed that she’s not the girl he raised.
