There is no surprise that this month's brand reputation rankings for girl group members are stacked with idols who are poised for a comeback. Topping the list is Oh My Girl's Arin, BLACKPINK's Jennie and Red Velvet's Irene.
According to a report by Soompi, Oh My Girl's Arin maintained her first place position for the second consecutive month. She posted a brand reputation index of 2,403,090 from May 19 to June 30. Arin ranked high for the phrases Nonstop, birthday and The World of My 17. Arin's highest ranking terms were reveal, pretty and cute. The Oh My Girl member also netted an impressive 78.95 positive reactions on her positivity-negativity analysis.
The World of My 17, the live action adaptation of a popular webtoon of the same name and Arin was tapped to star in the series.
BLACKPINK's Jennie trailed Arin with a 2,315,622 index. Her strong performance for the month may be attributed to the upcoming comeback of BLACKPINK on June 26. BLACKPINK also recently released their collaboration with the iconic Lady Gaga for the song Sour Candy which was included in her Chromatica album.
BLACKPINK's Jisoo and Lisa also made it to the Top 30, with Jisoo nabbing the seventh position and Lisa taking the twelfth spot.
Meanwhile, Red Velvet's Irene landed in third place with a brand reputation index of 2,183,943 for the month of June. Irene and Seulgi are expected to debut Red Velvet's first subunit on July 6, as announced by SM Entertainment. The duo will release a six-track album entitled Red Velvet - Irene & Seulgi: MONSTER. Seulgi also ranked in the this month's list by rounding up the 13th position.
The rest of the Top 10 was made up of IZ*ONE's Jang Won Young, Red Velvet's Joy, TWICE's Mina, Oh My Girl's Hyojung, Oh My Girl's YooA, and TWICE's Momo.
Girls' Generation's Taeyeon, TWICE's Nayeon, TWICE's Dahyun, IZ*ONE's Kim Min Ju, TWICE's Sana, Girls' Generation's YoonA, TWICE's Jihyo, and Oh My Girl's Jiho ranked from the 11th to 20th position.
The rest of the list was made up of TWICE's Jeongyeon, Oh My Girl's Seunghee, Apink's Son Naeun, Oh My Girl's Binnie, MAMAMOO's Hwasa, IZ*ONE's Jo Yu Ri, GFRIEND's SinB, Oh My Girl's Mimi, GFRIEND's Sowon, and TWICE's Chaeyoung.
The brand reputation rankings is determined by the Korean Business Research Institute by analyzing big data comprising of consumer participation, media coverage, communication, and community awareness of 510 members of girl groups.
