After an insider revealed that royal aides are now worried about the release of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's book, Finding Freedom, a royal editor said they are now preparing for the worst. The unofficial biography may not only put Prince William in the bad light but other members of the royal family, too.
ITV's Russell Myers claimed that the royal advisers now fear what Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's book entails and even its upcoming release. As the authors, Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie, want to tell a "definitive story" about the couple, the aides are afraid that it may paint Prince William and the royal family terrible.
In an episode of Lorraine, the royal commentator said that royal aides are quite worried about what "sort of light" it is going to paint the Duke of Cambridge in. In the book, Kate Middleton's husband was, allegedly, called "unsympathetic and unfeeling," Express noted.
So, royal aides are now said to be meeting behind the scenes to prepare for the worst thing that may come upon the book's release. Some believe that it can bring back the dilemma where Princess Diana gave a Panorama interview in 1995, revealing a huge exposé when she talked about the three people in her relationship.
Myers continued that Durand and Scobie had "unrivaled access" to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's inner circle. They interviewed more than 100 people, so it might only say a lot of positive things about the Sussexes.
However, it may put other members of the royal family in a "particularly bad light." Royal aides, reportedly, feared how the book would detail Prince William's role in the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's decision to leave the monarchy, according to The Sun.
They are afraid that it may show the future king as the reason behind the royal rift that ultimately led to their decision to step down as senior royals. Aside from portraying him "unsympathetic and unfeeling," it may also paint him as someone who never showss his support to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle when they choose to leave the monarchy.
They believe Finding Freedom may be one-sided and will only show Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's side of the story. If this comes true, it will be very unfair for Prince William not to air his side.
Royal aides are convinced that the royal family problem should never be out in public and should also never happen to the monarch. It can be the "most damaging thing" that will happen to the royal family today, portraying Prince William as the villain while Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are the kinds and philanthropic ones.
