Justin Bieber laid out all the proofs that would clear his name after a woman claimed Hailey Baldwin's husband sexually assaulted her. The 26-year-old star denied the accusation in a series of Twitter posts, insisting "there is no truth" to the claim.
A woman named Danielle made a now-deleted Tweet on June 20, claiming that Justin Bieber assaulted her in a room at Four Seasons hotel in Austin, Texas, in March 2014. The pop giant vehemently denied that it happened and vowed to take legal action against it.
In a series to tweets, the hitmaker said he didn't normally give attention to rumors about him, but sexual abuse was something that he never took lightly. He made sure that he had the facts to support his innocence before he issued a statement to respect other victims of sexual abuse.
Although he acknowledged that he was indeed in Austin at the time for SXSW, he was on the stage along with his assistant and sang a few songs to surprise the crowd. He was also with his then-girlfriend Selena Gomez at the time, so the accusation could be far from happening.
Justin Bieber then shared a series of screenshots, social media posts, receipts, and even hotel bookings to shut down the alleged victim's claim, Sky.com.au noted. He also revealed that there was a booking error at the Four Seasons hotel, which meant that he and his team could not stay there as planned at the time.
As he used to use the alias Mike Lowery, the singer-songwriter also promised that he would stop using it from now on. In his final post, he vowed to take legal action against the false accusation, as he believed every claim of sexual abuse should be "taken very seriously."
Justin Bieber continued that the story made against him was "factually impossible." So, he would be working with Twitter and authorities to take legal action.
His representative, Alison Kaye, the general manager of Scooter Braun's SB Projects, also denied the allegation. According to The Guardian, she said the allegation was also "factually impossible" as he stayed at Airbnb at the time the assault, allegedly, happened. She also added that Justin Bieber's hotel reservation in Austin didn't start until the following night, and it was at the Westin and not at the Four Seasons.
The woman who accused Justin Bieber revealed they met at a music event in Austin in March 2014. She was 21 then, while the performer was 20.
Allegedly, after his performance, Justin Bieber invited her and her friends at the Four Seasons hotel. However, she alleged that he took her to a separate room and started to assault her. Anyhow, she never gave any more details about the allegation, as the post and her Twitter account are now both gone.
