Princess Diana loved Prince William and Prince Harry very much. The People’s Princess would do anything, even ignore royal protocols, just to make her boys happy, like taking a secret trip to McDonald’s for Happy Meal toys.
It’s no secret that Princess Diana had been a huge influence on Prince William and Prince Harry. The Princess of Wales had always urged her sons to be who they are and not fall on public perceptions.
Now, a new report revealed how Princess Diana described Prince William and Prince Harry. Author and editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine Ingrid Seward alleged that the People’s Princess said that “William was very sensitive, and Harry was the artistic and lively one who could cope with anything.”
This revelation is something that Prince Harry needs to hear right now as multiple reports claimed that he had been struggling with his life in the US. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex officially stepped down from their roles at the end of March after announcing earlier this year that they wish to withdraw from being senior royals.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle briefly stayed in Canada before heading to Los Angeles, where they are currently living with their son Archie. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to make a fresh start in the US, but royal authors Andy Tillett and Dylan Howard alleged that the Duke of Sussex is having a hard time adjusting to his new life.
As for Prince William, while he is embracing his future role these days, it wasn’t the case before at all. In fact, journalist Jeremy Paxman claimed that the Duke of Cambridge told his mother Princess Diana that he had no desire to become king.
As a young boy, Prince William may have seen his future role as something that he couldn’t handle. Even though Princess Diana tried to give him and Prince Harry normal childhood experiences, their lives as members of the Royal family are certainly far from being average.
That being said, Prince William knew that being the King of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms is not an easy task. But despite not having any interest in being the monarch someday, Queen Elizabeth took the Duke of Cambridge under her wing to prepare him for his future role.
Fast forward to today, Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton are two of the most popular and well-loved members of the Royal family. Even though the Duke of Cambridge wasn’t so keen on becoming King when he was younger, he’s fitting the role more and more each day.
