The Duke and Duchess of Sussex completed their final engagement in March and officially stepped down from their roles at the end of the month. But before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s withdrawal, it has been heavily speculated that they had a rift with the Royal Family.
The couple said in their announcement that they wished to focus more on their family and charities. However, many believed that the reason for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's shocking exit is much deeper than that.
Now, a new report claims that Meghan Markle finds the royal family lifestyle to be “frustrating.” Investigative journalists Dylan Howard and Andy Tillett’s new book called “Royals at War” alleged that the Duchess of Sussex is so used to the “Hollywood environment” and had a hard time adapting to Prince Harry’s world.
“Meghan can be difficult. She has very high standards and is used to working in a Hollywood environment." an insider told the authors.
Sources then revealed that Meghan Markle “found the constraints of royalty frustrating.” Dylan Howard also added that the Duchess of Sussex had “burned too many bridges” at the time she and Prince Harry stepped down from their roles.
Meanwhile, when Meghan Markle joined the Royal family in 2018, she was obliged to follow the rules. A previous report claimed that she didn’t like it at all.
Meghan Markle, reportedly, “hated” wearing the Royal wardrobe and is now happy to ditch it for her own style. The source said that the Duchess of Sussex is more of a “sweats or yoga pants” kind of girl and Royal dresses are not her thing. It was even claimed that she was not a fan of Queen Elizabeth’s jewelry collection as she was only seen wearing it once.
The insider also alleged that Meghan Markle thought that having to curtsy to high-ranking royals was “ridiculous.” The source added that the Duchess of Sussex looks forward to living a stress-free life where she’s not worried about public scrutiny. It can be recalled that the former actress had been a favorite topic of critics, watching her every move and report every alleged error that they see.
