Chinese hit drama A Love So Beautiful is about to get a Korean remake and X1's Kim Yohan and Dr. Romantic 2 actress So Ju Yeon have, reportedly, been offered the lead roles for the adaptation.

According to a report by Soompi, former X1 member Kim Yohan is being eyed to take on the role Jiang Chen, originally played by Chinese actor Hu Yi Tian. A Love So Beautiful is expected to be Yohan's comeback after the disbandment of X1.

After the success of Dr. Romantic 2, So Ju Yeon has, reportedly, been offered the role of Chen Xiaoxi. The part was originally played by Chinese actress Shen Yue in the original version.

So Ju Yeon's agency confirmed the news of the offer and said that the actress was positively reviewing the role. However, nothing has been confirmed yet.

A Love So Beautiful is a popular Chinese drama that aired in 2017. The series revolves around next-door neighbors and classmates Jiang Chen, a good looking, athletic and student at the top of his class, and Chen Xiaoxi, an average girl who professes her love for Jiang Chen at the beginning of the series.

Unfortunately, Jiang Chen finds Xiaoxi's admiration as an inconvenience, but as the series progresses, he begins to develop feelings for his persistent and bubbly admirer.

The series received many positive reviews not only for his innocent depiction of young love but also its take on friendship and growing up.The series was originally aired as a 23 episode drama with an addition of one special episode. However, the Korean version will, reportedly, be aired by Kakao M as a web series with 20-minute episodes.

A Love So Beautiful is not the only foreign project that is getting a Korean version after it was recently reported that talks are underway for the Korean adaptation of Netflix's original series Money Heist.

According to a report by Soompi, BH Entertainment and ZIUM Content are discussing the production of A Korean adaptation of the Spanish series, originally entitled La Casa de Papel (House of Paper).

This will be part of BH Entertainment's expansion to content production after collaborating with US film company Black Box for the US adaptation of horror film Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum.

BH Entertainment was originally an artist management agency under which Lee Byung Hun, Han Hyo Joo, Yoo Ji Tae, and Kim Go Eun are signed.
