Allegedly, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle face "extreme tension" with their new lives away from the Royal Family. The insider even added that the Duchess of Sussex "has gone very quiet," seeming to be "extremely low and struggling" since their move.
The tipster told the Sunday Mirror that the sixth in line to the throne felt more down on the birthday of his brother, Prince William, on June 21. However, the source didn't reveal for what reason.
The couple surprised everyone when they dropped their bombshell announcement in January, revealing they would be stepping down as senior royals. They officially finished all of their remaining royal duties at the end of March and moved to the former actress' hometown of L.A. from Canada.
Since then, the insider revealed Meghan Markle "had become distant and introverted," making her family "worried." Prince Harry, too, might be feeling tormented because of his "fractured family ties."
The two have been known for wanting to have a "very little" connection with the Royal Family, Cosmopolitan reported. They again proved that they were ready to cut ties with the monarchy when they formally closed their Sussex Royal charity.
According to People, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle already filed the important documents with the United Kingdom authorities. Now, they are ready to put their sole focus on their new foundation, Archewell.
In a statement, they said they wanted to support a charity that would address the global COVID-19 pandemic. The cause would be a charitable non-profit that would also feature "volunteering services, wide-ranging websites, and podcasts." It might also possibly come in form of films and books.
However, they were in no rush to launch Archewell. They wanted to get things right, and that it's the most important thing for them now.
This new foundation was something that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wanted to do for the rest of their lives. They would never put pressure on its launch as it was still in the early stages of development.
