Meghan Markle’s legal team claimed that she was “unprotected by the Institution and prohibited from defending herself.” The allegations were revealed in the documents of her lawsuit against the publisher of The Mail on Sunday and MailOnline.

In the documents, Meghan Markle’s friends were, reportedly, worried about her welfare, especially because she was pregnant at the time. Now, a new report revealed that senior royal sources are not only denying the Duchess of Sussex’s claims, but they are branding them “ridiculous.”

"It's a ridiculous claim. It's so bloody disappointing. The institution was doing everything in its power to support her. Everyone was trying to help her.” one of the sources said.

Another one called the allegations “inaccurate” and “total rubbish” while the third source said that Meghan Markle’s claims are “fiction and galling."

Meghan Markle denied that she gave her friends the authority to do the interview. The Duchess of Sussex shared that she had no idea that the interview was done and only found out about it after the article was published. Her five friends spoke anonymously to People magazine, but they were identified in the documents.

This was not the first time that Meghan Markle implied that the Royal Family did not support her. The Duchess of Sussex opened up about her struggles to Tom Bradby in the documentary titled Harry & Meghan: An African Journey last year, revealing that nobody asked if she was okay. The former actress' revelation seemingly hinted that the Royal Family did not care about her situation.

Meanwhile, biographer David Jones previously said that Meghan Markle is to be blamed for her and Prince Harry’s Royal exit. He noted that the Duchess of Sussex is a headstrong woman who rules over the Duke of Sussex.

The biographer, then, revealed that some of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s friends believe that the latter is the instigator of their withdrawal earlier this year. David Jones said that one of the former actress’s close friends said that they “saw this coming.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently living in Los Angeles with their son Archie. The couple is making a fresh start in the US after they officially stepped down from their senior royal roles at the end of March.

Despite their shocking announcement, Queen Elizabeth released a statement saying that she and the Royal Family members support Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's decision.
