Korean actors get paid a lot of money because of the popularity of their dramas both in Korea and overseas. Topping the list of highest-paid artists is none other than Kim Soo Hyun.

According to a report by Hype, Kim Soo Hyun, who recently made a comeback with the drama Its Okay not to be Okay, earns approximately USD84,000 per episode. Kim Soo Hyun recently completed his mandatory enlistment and appeared for a brief cameo for Crash Landing on You before releasing his comeback project. He previously starred in the smash-hit My Love from the Stars.

Trailing close behind is veteran actor Hyun Bin, who appeared as a North Korean soldier who falls in love with a South Korean heiress who accidentally lands on his turf for Crash Landing on You. Hyun Bin earns USD 83,900 per episode. After the success of his drama, he has lined up a film project entitled Bargaining which revolves around a kidnapping that takes place in the Middle East.

He may not be as active when it comes to releasing dramas by Jo In Sung is still among Korea's highest-paid actors as he lands on the third spot with USD 67,100 per episode. He was recently offered a role in the film Escape which is centered around the escape of North and South Korean embassy workers during the Somali Civil War.

Tied in third place is So Ji Sub, who recently focused on his personal life and got married to former TV presenter Jo Eun Jung. He has accepted a role in the movie Confession which will be released later in the year. 

It comes as no surprise that Lee Min Ho is in fourth place. The actor who recently made a comeback through The King: Eternal Monarch nets USD62,000 per episode.

Lee Seunggi, who appeared in recent hits Vagabond and Korean Odyssey secured fifth place with his USD59,000 per episode paycheck. He currently appears in the variety show All My Butlers as well as travel show Twogether with Jasper Liu. He is expected to make his return to drama with the psychodrama Mouse

Yoo Ah In, who has starred in many critically acclaimed films like Burning, is also one of Korea's most sought after actors, earning a paycheck of USD59,000 per episode. He will make his movie comeback with Park Shin Hye for the zombie movie Alive.

Even though he is currently serving mandatory enlistment, Lee Jong Suk still made it to the list, as well as Descendants of the Sun actor Song Joong Ki, and Ji Chang Wook, who currently appears in the romantic comedy drama Backstreet Rookie.
