Paul Pogba hit a good note playing in tandem with Bruno Fernandes, which has to be a good reason for the Frenchman to keep wearing the Manchester United shirt. He just might do so as reports said Pogba is eager to play on the same side with Jadon Sancho.

Sancho is not yet on the Red Devils roster but is on the list of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's priority signings. The England international campaigns at the moment with Borussia Dortmund but it is believed he will be in the Premier League next season and Old Trafford has been set as his preferred destination.

The thought of working with the Bundesliga sensation has left Pogba anticipating the day Sancho officially signs up with United. According to The Sun, the report picking up from the story published by The Athletic, the 27-year-old has been confiding to close friends of his excitement to work the pitch with the 20-year-old winger on the same ground.

It appeared that as far as the World Cup winner is concerned, things are looking up at United. At the same time, Pogba seemed convinced that with the addition of Sancho to the club's lineup, the Red Devils will start winning titles and his career trajectory will shoot up.

However, United's acquisition of Sancho in the summer transfer window is not yet in the bag. The latest update on the deal indicated that a deadline has been set for Solskjaer to complete the move by August 10.

It is understood that Sancho has agreed on personal terms to join United but the England side will need to meet the demand of Dortmund for the youngster's release. The clause asks for payment of no lower than £108 million but the buying side is only willing to give out £50 million and no more.

With the two sides unwilling to cede an inch in the ongoing negotiations, it would seem that United getting a hold of the Dortmund ace soon is uncertain at best. And there are reports that Mason Greenwood flashing great form and impressing in the past few games has persuaded Solskjaer that bringing in Sancho is no longer a pressing need for the club.

In any case, the Norwegian boss has stated clearly that keeping Pogba from moving out is his priority. The playmaker will enter the open market in 2021 with giant clubs like Real Madrid in active pursuit, and Solskjaer admitted it's important for United to sign Pogba to an extension deal.

"Yes, we are looking to keep Paul here and we are looking to keep the best players here anyway," Metro reported the United coach as saying.

Solskjaer explained that he is sold on Pogba's display of professionalism, adding that such character will motivate the player to be at his best all the time, which is good for United.
