Snowpiercer season 1 finale is coming later this week on TNT. This will be an exciting episode, as the series will be delivering a two-hour finale event. A lot of intense moments are coming here, especially the aftermath of chaos on the train.
In the first part Snowpiercer season 1 finale, titled "The Train Demanded Blood," a dangerous foe defects the rebel forces' side. They will try to make their final plan happen to take control of the train. But then, their actions come with a grave moral cost and could destroy them all.
In the second part, titled "994 Cars Long," Layton is struggling to govern the survivors in the revolution's aftermath. Melanie, on the other hand, makes peace with her demons. However, she realized that the biggest threat to them and their survival is right just on her shoulder.
Layton and Melanie will also face the consequences they've done throughout the season. These two have been reactive and often the sources of chaos. Now, we could see them dealing with a lot of pressure and their journey may move into the direction that they want.
Moreover, Snowpiercer season 1 finale could also leave huge cliffhangers, making viewers more excited with the arrival of the second installment. After all, a lot of stories are still needed to be addressed, as well as mysteries that needed to be solved.
In fact, series star Alison Wright, who plays Ruth, has something to say about the subject. She told TVLine that there's going to be a huge cliffhanger, one where it ended on a brilliant moment. She teased that it will be thrilling for the people on the train, as well as the audience.
But aside from the huge cliffhanger, Wright also noted the season finale will bring closure to some key elements of the story. She said that there'll be an incredible high point in which all of the questions will be answered and there'll be satisfaction by the end of the first season.
There is also no need to worry about the future of the series. TNT already renewed Snowpiercer for a second season. Yet, viewers may have to wait for a while as the series may not be coming back on the small screen anytime soon. Due to the global health crisis, there could be a delay.
Snowpiercer season 1 finale airs on Sunday night, July 12, on TNT.
