Prince William and Kate Middleton are two of the most popular and well-loved members of the Royal family. Their popularity skyrocketed even more during the coronavirus outbreak when they amped up their royal duties while Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles remain in isolation.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been preparing themselves as the future King and Queen Consort of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms. Queen Elizabeth had been mentoring Prince William for years to get him ready for his very important role in the future.
That being said, Prince William and Kate Middleton were already aware of their upcoming duties once they take their new roles as future King and Queen Consort. However, they were certainly not prepared to take a larger workload after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle quit royal life.
But royal commentator Duncan Larcombe suggested that Prince William and Kate Middleton are set to benefit from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal exit. He said that their withdrawal will help the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge focus more on their "important" job.
"This is giving them space... it is giving William and Kate the space to focus on the job they’ve got to do,” he said adding that he believes Prince William and Kate Middleton and doing “very well.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced back in January that they will be stepping down as senior royals to focus more on their family and charities. Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams previously said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s royal exit “cleared the way” for Prince William and Kate Middleton to shine.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s popularity is undeniable, and news about them, good or bad, sometimes overshadowed the works of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Now that they are turning their backs on royal life, Richard Fitzwilliams believes that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will get the spotlight that they deserve.
The royal expert also explained the difference between Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry, Meghan Markle. Richard Fitzwilliams shared that while the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are completely devoted to the Firm, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wanted to do things their way.
