Starz recently announced that Power Book II: Ghost is coming on Starz within a few months. And aside from revealing its premiere, the series also released some details about what we can expect in the story. The teaser hints Tariq is doing whatever he can in order to help his mother, Tasha.
In the clip of Power Book II: Ghost, Tasha is being questioned about who killed Ghost, as some believed she did it. Yet, it's clear that she is covering up for Tariq, who actually shot and killed his father. Now, the teaser shows him trying to do whatever he can to make sure his mother can be free.
Tariq needs to find a way to clear Tasha's name, and at the same time, cover up everything to avoid the crime he committed. However, he recognized that doing this is not that easy as some people are after him. He is a student by day, but he's wrapped up in the criminal world by night.
Tariq's world will be further be messed up because of Monet, a powerful and dangerous person. The teaser also showed Method Man's character Davis MacLean, a defense lawyer. He is good at his job and he knows that this is a high-profile case.
To help his mother and get a good lawyer, Tariq needs to have a lot of money. He is willing to do whatever he can to help his mother, but he knows he'll be facing a lot of challenges along the way. It's exciting to see how his story will be further explored as the series progresses.
In the synopsis, Power Book II: Ghost picks up the earth-shattering events of Power. Tariq grapples with a new world following his father's death and his mother facing charges because of the crime he committed. Now, he is living on his own for the first time in his life.
Tariq splits his time between school and finding ways to pay his mother's the fame-hungry defense lawyer, Davis MacLean. Since he's left with no option, he decided to turn to the familiar drug game and entangled himself cutthroat family headed by Monet Stewart Tejada.
