Prince William, the second in line to the British throne, is destined to become the King of England one day and he has been preparing for his duty all his life. The Duke of Cambridge has been involved in a lot of public service work that seems to show some influences from his mother, Princess Diana. Will his reign as monarch be following in her lead?

According to Pure Wow, there are some significant signs that Prince William is following in his mother's footstep based on the charities he has chosen to support as the Duke of Cambridge. These include mostly mental health and wellbeing causes and children's causes, which he carries out alongside his wife, Kate Middleton.

Prince William wants to raise awareness about people's mental health struggles. He also wants to do away with the stigma of this disability, which his own mother also went through.

Prince William's The Royal Foundation with Kate Middleton also suggests that he'd like to have a hands-on role in helping a community. It speaks so much of his mother's own hands-on approach in her public service when she was still alive.

According to Nick Bullen, the editor-in-chief of True Royalty TV, Prince William was told to prepare for his "monarchy manifesto" a few years ago, which details what he'd like to be as King of England. But a royal biographer believes Prince William is not rushing to ascend the throne and become the monarch.

Bullen said that Prince William is very much aware of what entails for him to become king. His own father, Prince Charles, has to die and his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, has to die as well, for Prince William to sit on the throne.

The royal expert said that both Prince William and Prince Charles do not desire to have their parents' death just so they can get the job. Thus, Prince William will patiently wait his time to be the king he is destined to be.

Right now, he welcomes being guided and coached by Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles. Despite people saying Prince William will be a modern king, Bullen believes that the Duke of Cambridge will still heavily rely on tradition and heritage, as well as putting duty first above everything else.

But Prince William will definitely make his own mark as the future monarch. Bullen said that this is something he got from his own mother, who challenged and changed royal rules and protocols.
