BLACKPINK nabbed the top spot in the July brand reputation rankings for girl groups and advanced from their No. 3 position last month.

Based on the analysis conducted by the Korean Business Research Institute, BLACKPINK charted a positivity-negativity analysis of 89.56 percent from June 10 to July 11.

The rankings were determined from the Korean Business Research Institute's analysis of consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community indexes with the use of big data.

For July, BLACKPINK also charted a total of 11,638,631 index, which is a jump of 154.40 percent from their numbers last month.

Some of BLACKPINK's highest-ranking phrases include YouTube, hanbok, and Billboard. Highest ranked related terms include record, achieve, and surpass. The keywords make a lot of sense because BLACKPINK's How You Like That MV achieved multiple milestones on YouTube. It became the biggest MV premiere in the world, became the fastest MV to reach 100 million views and the biggest 24-hour views for an MV.

BLACKPINK's How You Like That was certified by the Guinness World Records for five records. Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose also made a buzz for their edgy style and use of hanboks, or traditional Korean clothing for the promotion of their much-anticipated comeback.

This month's second place belonged to IZ*ONE, who also enjoyed a leap from last month's rankings. From the fourth position last June, IZ*ONE increased its index by 81.92 percent, charting a brand reputation ranking of 7,974,564 for July.

TWICE, which was last month's No. 1 girl group, traded positions with BLACKPINK to take the No. 3 spot this month. They earned a brand reputation index of 5,988,530, which was still an improvement of 12.38 percent from their performance last June.

Not surprisingly, Red Velvet took the fourth position after the debut of Red Velvet's Irene & Seulgi for the group's first subunit. The subunit faced several delays before they finally debuted last July 6. The MV for MONSTER was also delayed by 12 hours before it was released on July 7 at 12 pm.

Despite the delays, Red Velvet Irene and Seulgi still managed to top the iTunes charts in 45 regions, marking a strong beginning for the duo. MONSTER also topped Bugs, VIBE, and Momople, Soompi reported.

Last month's second placers Oh My Girl took this month's fifth place while ITZY also made a huge jump to No. 6 from last month's 16th position. The rest of the Top 10 was made up of MAMAMOO, (G)I-DLE, WJSN, and Apink.
