YG Entertainment has finally announced that TREASURE is finally making a debut very soon.

In a recent poster announcement, the label shared a snap announcing the new Kpop group's debut along with TREASURE's logo. However, YG stopped short of revealing the actual date of the debut, exciting and frustrating the fans at the same time, All Kpop reported.

Fans have been waiting for TREASURE's debut for two years, ever since the members were chosen from an idol survival show called YG Treasure Box which aired from 2018 to 2019.

The group was originally named TREASURE 13 with 13 members but the line up has changed after one of the members Yoonbin parted ways with YG Entertainment. The artist reportedly left due to creative differences with the label. Due to the development, the group was renamed as TREASURE and plans to promote with two subunits - Magnum and Treasure were also scrapped.

According to a report by All Kpop, Treasure was supposed to be made up of Haruto, Bang Yedam, So Junghwan, Kim Junkyu, Park Jeongwoo, Yoon Jaehyuk, and Choi Hyunsuk. Magnum was supposed to be composed of Mashiho, Kim Doyoung, Yoshinori, Park Jihoon, and Asahi.

Now, members Yedam, Haruto, Doyoung, Hyunsuk, Jihyun, Junghwan, Jungwoo, Yoshinori, Junkyu, Mashiho, Jaehyuk, and Asahi will now promote as a single unit with 12 members. Unlike other groups, TREASURE will have two leaders - Choi Hyunsuk and Park Jihoon.

Apart from their strong following from the reality show, some members of TREASURE have also been approached by casting agents apart from YG Entertainment. Jaehyuk was reportedly given offers by SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, CUBE Entertainment, Woollim Entertainment, Pledis Entertainment, and Yuehua.

TREASURE member Yedam was also considered a veteran of talent shows because prior to appearing on YG Treasure Box, he also competed in Kpop Star and finished after show winners AKDONG Musician, who were also signed by YG Entertainment.

TREASURE members are also expected to have strong teamwork, not only because they appeared on the show and trained together but because members Junghwan and Jeongwoo have been friends even before embarking on their idol journey. They both went to school together at IB Music Academy.

TREASURE's debut comes shortly after BLACKPINK's first comeback which boosted YG's stocks significantly this month. Because of the strong interest in the new group, YG is expected to continue the momentum with strong promotions for the 12 member group. Treasure Makers, the group's official fandom, are already set to welcome TREASURE's debut.
