Meghan Markle shared her thoughts about making a stand and fighting for her advocacy in a recent keynote address for Girl Up, the leadership summit. The Duchess of Sussex said that the hardest part of fighting back and making her convictions heard was to put things in action.

The royal said that it's easy for her to feel overwhelmed when she's backing up her convictions with actions. But Meghan Markle acknowledged that this is the most challenging part of the process in pursuing a stand because it's where she feels the growth and sees the changes and impact of her actions.

The Duchess of Sussex also said that negative voices will always be there and they can be "painfully loud." She has learned along the way to drown out these negative noises because that's all they are -- noises.

Meghan encouraged future leaders in the women's summit that by speaking up, challenging the norm and carrying on with their advocacies, they'll lead a path for change that will benefit the whole community. This path will be breaking down the inequities that exist in society, which the Duchess of Sussex said is ripe for a transformation.

Also present at the virtual summit, which will run until July 15, was former U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama. According to USA Today, over 40,000 young girls are expected to watch the three-day online summit from 172 countries. This year's event was moved virtually due to the pandemic but it took place in Washington, D.C., in the past.

Meanwhile, aside from her speech, Meghan apparently got heaps of praises for her appearance. Fans on Twitter noticed that her velvety long hair and that blue definitely looks good on her.

Meghan did her keynote speech from her home in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, where she has been living with Prince Harry since the middle of March. The couple has been spotted going about town in recent weeks. They have been volunteering at local charities and have been doing video conference calls with organizations that support their advocacies.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently signed up with the Harry Walker Agency, which shall be handling their speaking engagements. Speculations are that the couple could earn $1 million per appearance.

Since stepping back from their royal duties, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been trying to land deals and arrangements that would allow them to earn a private income. Previously, the Sussexes received monetary support from the royal coffers, as working royal members.
