Prince Harry and Prince William grew up in the public eye. The brothers had always been in the spotlight as they are not only royals, they are also two of the most popular and well-loved members of the Royal Family.
Although the late Princess Diana, had tried hard to make the lives of Prince Harry and Prince William as normal as possible, they cannot escape their royal roots. And because of that, the brothers had to deal with a different kind of household than the regular public.
The Royal Family members, reportedly, had a very different relationship with Prince Harry and Prince William. With the older prince being the second in the line of succession to the British throne, his destiny led him to a different path than his younger brother.
According to the Channel 5 documentary Prince Harry: The Troubled Prince, Prince Charles and Princess Diana insisted that the Duke of Sussex should be given as many opportunities as Prince William. Unfortunately, senior members of the Royal Family believe that it was “nonsense” to treat the brothers equally, considering their different roles in the monarchy.
Journalist Richard Kay claimed that the senior members said: “'This is nonsense. William is the future. All our efforts must go into educating William.'”
Prince William is also, reportedly, a lot closer to Queen Elizabeth as the latter has been mentoring him for his journey to the throne. Her Majesty, allegedly, treated the brothers very differently. Royal biographer Angela Lewin then added that Prince Harry “was always less than” than Prince William.
Meanwhile, a previous report revealed how Princess Diana described Prince William and Prince Harry. Author and editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine Ingrid Seward alleged that the People’s Princess said that Prince William was the “sensitive” one, and Prince Harry was the “artistic and lively” one. Their mother also added that the younger prince is someone who “could cope with anything.”
This revelation is something that Prince Harry needs to hear right now as multiple reports claimed that he had been struggling with his life in the US. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex officially stepped down from their roles at the end of March after announcing earlier this year that they wish to withdraw from their senior royal roles.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expected to make a fresh start in the US, but there were claims that the Duke of Sussex is having a hard time adjusting to his new life.
