Prince Philip was, reportedly, angered by Sarah Ferguson's controversial snaps that caused a huge stir to the Royal Family months after her split from Prince Andrew. Despite their reunion at Princess Beatrice's private royal wedding at the Royal Chapel of All Saints, Royal Lodge, Windsor, a royal expert claimed Queen Elizabeth II's husband is still yet to forgive his former daughter-in-law.
The Duchess of York's intimate photos, which believed to be taken five months after the announcement of her separation from the Duke of York, caused a huge embarrassment for the Royal Family. It was taken at her holiday villa in St. Tropez, where she was with the Texan millionaire John Bryan, who was photographed kissing and sucking her toes and the arch of her foot.
The compromising pictures were made public, resulting in a public scandal that upset the Duke of Edinburgh, which he, reportedly, still holds until now. In an appearance on This Morning, Camilla Tominey revealed, via Mirror Online, the 99-year-old royal "has never really forgiven" Sarah for the unfortunate headlines she made in the past.
Whenever Queen Elizabeth would invite Sarah and her daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, to Balmoral, he would go to the Isle of Wight for he didn't want to be in the same place with her. However, his anger might have "slightly melted" after attending the Princesses of York's weddings.
The Telegraph's associate editor revealed Her Majesty has always given Prince Andrew's former wife her time, inviting her and the girls every year. Queen Elizabeth firmly believes that Fergie has done an excellent job in raising her two daughters. Tominey even described them as two lovely girls, and it couldn't be denied that their grandmother loves them so much.
Royal commentator Jane Moore added that Prince Philip's relationship with Fergie has "remained sour." According to Express, she said it's very well known that he has never "got on very well" with her.
However, she suggested that they might have made some amends without the public knowing. After Fergie and Prince Andrew's divorce in 1996, she lost her HRH title.
Prince Philip and Fergie were reunited when Princess Beatrice surprised the public with her secret wedding with Mozzi at the All Saints Chapel. The couple only had about 20 guests, following the Government guidelines and maintaining a strict socially-distanced ceremony.
Among the guests are Mozzi's son, Wolfie, and his mother, Nikki Williams Elis. Of course, Princess Beatrice's family is also there, from Prince Andrew to her mom, Fergie, and her grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.
