NCIS: Los Angeles season 12 is coming on CBS, but its official release date remains uncertain at the moment. Filming of the series may not start anytime soon due to the current health state of Los Angeles County and production will likely start once the situation gets a little bit better.

The cast members are also eager to be back, especially since they've been around each other for more than a decade. Eric Christian Olsen, who plays Marty Deeks, is particularly excited to return and want more of NCIS: Los Angeles season 12.

Previously, Olsen shared on his Instagram Stories a photo his character and Daniela Rua's Kensi Byle kissing Linda Hunt's Hetty Lange on the cheek and noted he'd like "more of this in season 12." Perhaps, this is a reference that the actor wants Deeks to have more time around Hetty moving forward.

In 2019, Olsen also told CarterMatt that the series wasn't the same when Hunt's character isn't around and revealed he misses spending with her. Now, NCIS: Los Angeles season 12 could see more of Hetty and she might be involved in working on certain cases with Deeks.

As for what else is coming for Olsen's character, we could see more of him working at the LAPD. In addition, Deeks could also go on some undercover missions. But, apart from his professional life, it's also interesting to further explore his relationship with Kensi.

The two have been key parts of the show and it's exciting to see where they're heading in NCIS: Los Angeles season 12. Deeks and Kensi are happily married and stable, but there are still challenges they have to face in the future.

One of the major questions here is whether both of them will consider having a baby while taking on their jobs at the same time. They wanted to start a family, but they also know that it's not that easy. The two could be facing some challenges along the way and will test their relationship.

In a previous interview with TV Insider, executive producer Frank Military discussed what the future holds for Deeks and Kensi. He revealed that having a baby is going to be a test for them. Kensi, in particular, wrestles with the dilemma between her personal and professional life.

This could be one of the biggest concerns from Deeks and Kensi in NCIS: Los Angeles season 12. They wanted to have a baby, but they also know the importance of their jobs. Fans could, probably, see them contemplating what they want for their future.
