Meghan Markle is, reportedly, disappointed about the kind of relationship she has with her sister-in-law Kate Middleton. A new book cites that the Duchess of Sussex was expecting to bond with the Duchess of Cambridge but their relationship hasn't progressed since she married Prince Harry.

The upcoming book Finding Freedom details that Meghan Markle reportedly agrees with  people's assessments that she and Kate Middleton are "not the best of friends." A source said that Kate apparently doesn't feel she has a lot in common with Prince Harry's wife.

The book goes on to allege that Meghan was expecting Kate to help her out when they both accidentally found themselves in the same shopping area in 2017. But Kate hopped into her Range Rover even after their paths have crossed and this basically became their relationship as sisters-in-law.

Kate apparently didn't reach out to Meghan to ease her into The Firm. The Duchess of Cambridge also didn't allegedly attempt to "check-in" on Meghan during her experiences with the British tabloid media.

After the media storm of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's exit from the royal family, Kate apparently "barely acknowledged" her sister-in-law. The book alleged that Kate "froze" Meghan so they have no chance of becoming close.

Finding Freedom, however, debunked reports that Meghan Markle made Kate Middleton cry during the former's wedding preparations. A source told authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand that this story was "ridiculous and so false."

The royal sisters-in-law are not close but they are not fighting. Only, Meghan feels she and Kate could bond better because they are both in a very unique position as outsiders who became part of the royal family by marriage.

But the reason for their distant relationship was reportedly a reflection of the real issue: the rift between Prince William and Prince Harry. The Duke of Sussex was apparently not happy with the institution he belongs to, long before Meghan came into his life.

The book stated that Prince Harry is "tired" of being the spare to William. He no longer wanted to be part of this dynamic and there was Meghan, who became his out.

Prince Harry's increasing dissatisfaction grew when Kensington Palace controlled most of the Sussex pair's decisions and plans as working royals. Prince Harry and Meghan reportedly felt that they were being brushed off after raising their concerns, which didn't receive any actions from the palace.

Hours before the excerpts were released, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle issued a statement to distance themselves from Finding Freedom and the book's authors. A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess said that they were not interviewed directly and that the book is based on the assessments of the authors after covering the royal family for years.
