A big royal family reunion is going to take place in Balmoral this summer when Kate Middleton, Prince William and their three children will visit Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip. Prince Charles and Camilla are, also, joining the reunion and are said to be looking forward to the family holiday.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl said that the royal family is converging in Balmoral, Scotland beginning early August. Kate Middleton and Prince William will come from Anmer Hall in Norfolk, where they have been staying with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis since March.

Prince Charles and Camilla, on the other hand, will follow the royal family after their trip to the south west of England. Nicholl said that the Prince of Wales is eager to see his grandchildren in person after five months apart due to the coronavirus restrictions.

Strict safety plans have been set up for the Queen's trip to Balmoral, where she and Prince Philip will stay until October. An insider said that everything has been double-checked to ensure that there are no health risks to the vulnerable royals, who are both in their 90s.

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip will be flown by helicopter from Windsor Castle to Balmoral on Aug. 1. No one from the royal family, however, will be staying in the same castle as the elders for their own health and safety.

Instead, Prince Charles and Camilla will be holed up in their Scotland home in Birkhall. Kate Middleton, Prince William and the kids will be accommodated in the apartments in another part of the estate.

The royal family will still be able to spend their time with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip outdoors, while social distancing. This is, reportedly, the protocol that will be enforced under the "Balmoral Bubble," as established by the Queen's Master of Household. According to Hello, the royals usually enjoy grilling and BBQ picnics, walking, hunting, outdoor games and cinema evenings during their get-togethers for the summer.

It's unclear if the rest of the royals will also be in the family reunion. Newly-married Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie always loved their summer times at the Queen's Scotland estate. Zara Tindall and her family also make their summer trip every year to uphold family traditions.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, however, might not be able to fly in from Los Angeles with their son Archie, given the travel restrictions. There could be no reunion between the Sussexes and Kate Middleton or Prince William and their children. Buckingham Palace won't comment on the Balmoral trip since this is a private time for the royal family.
