Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are in the middle of the spotlight again following the release of Finding Freedom's first set of excerpts. The unofficial biography, which will be out this August, reportedly details the alleged "tension" that they have with the members of the British Royal Family. As stated, the book "charts" their issues leading to their imminent exit earlier this year.
The excerpt, published by The Times, claims that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have a "very bad" relationship with Prince William and Kate Middleton that they now "barely spoke," according to Insider. The details, however, have reportedly remained undisclosed.
But, prior to the whole debacle, reports said that there are also sources, who claim in the same material that Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton have "struggled" to move past their "distant politeness." Their relationship never became more than this, the authors add.
In the same passage, sources reportedly revealed that the Sussex couple has always wanted to write their own "narrative." As noted, they wanted to form their own "household" but were not allowed.
Finding Freedom then reportedly suggests that members of the British Royal Family were "not happy" with the couple's "growing popularity." As explained, this is because they received much more "interest" than the Prince of Wales, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Reports continued to reiterate that the book also asserts that the "hierarchy" within the British Monarchy is what led the tension to rise. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reportedly felt "aggrieved" as their projects were not given the same importance as the other senior royals.
Despite the Duke of Sussex's efforts in raising his and his wife's concerns and "frustrations," no progress was reportedly made. This then led them to their decision to ultimately leave the royal life behind, the book shares.
On another note, the excerpt also reveals that, amid all the tension, both the Sussexes and Cambridges tried to repair their relationship in 2019, according to Elle. However, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry decided to step down from the royal posts. As explained, this "soured the good will" between the two royal couples.
In the end, a friend reportedly shared that the Duchess of Sussex had become "emotionally bruised" and "exhausted." She can no longer imagine setting a foot back into the royal spotlight, the anonymous source added.
