Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been pushing boundaries as they try to show a different side of being members of the Royal Family. Now, a new report revealed that the Duke of Sussex should have learned from his mother Princess Diana about trying to compete with Queen Elizabeth.
According to royal author Hugo Vickers, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had “chosen to work outside the system” of the Royal Family. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are also “more concerned about promoting their own agendas than the interests of the Monarchy itself.”
Hugo Vickers pointed out that Princess Diana’s “independent way” may have rubbed off on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. However, he warned the couple that this kind of determination would never end well.
“The members of the Royal Family have always been there to serve the Queen rather than to compete with her. But that’s not, in my view, a lesson that Harry and Meghan have been willing to learn,” he said.
LA expert Jeetendr Sehdev previously said that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s brand had always been disruptive. The author of The Kim Kardashian Principle: Why Shameless Sells (and How to Do It Right) shared that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are “going to show us all a different way in which royal family members can live.”
Jeetendr Sehdev said that before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s withdrawal, they were just known as part of the Royal Family. He claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are now “letting people into who they are” after their royal exit.
In their withdrawal announcement, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle mentioned that they wish to be “financially independent” as they start their new life outside the Royal family. Although they still receive funds from Prince Charles and the Duchy of Cornwall, the couple needs to find sources of income.
Previous reports revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would be creating their own TV firm. Rumor has it that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be providing voiceovers and producing documentaries on “worthy causes,” and this is where they will be earning their money.
It is also heavily speculated that Meghan Markle will return to Hollywood. The Duchess of Sussex was an actress before she met and married Prince Harry in 2018, so the entertainment industry is a place that feels like home to her.
