Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have to cancel their wedding once again as they are about to welcome their first baby soon. With the uncertainties of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the hitmaker no longer wants to make a plan that will only end up canceled.
It looks like fans are not going to see Perry walking the aisle anytime soon. In a new interview, she revealed making any plans this year seemed to always fail because of the coronavirus. She even admitted that their wedding was canceled for a second time.
The songwriter, who is about to give birth next month, told Mirror Online that they are now focusing on delivering a healthy kid. As planning this year always gets canceled, she, along with everyone else, has to take life "one week at a time."
Despite the delay, the soon-to-be-mom is confident that their wedding will eventually take place. For now, what she and Bloom wanted is to give birth to a healthy baby. She is even sure that it is what is "coming up right now."
Even before Perry revealed their wedding is once again canceled, her partner, the 43-year-old actor, hinted at the possibility of putting their marriage on hold because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In a different interview with The Times UK, he revealed he was not joking when he said the coronavirus might have played a role if they "put things on the ice."
Bloom and future wife will have to travel for their nuptial, so they did not want to make anyone feel uncomfortable due to the virus's threat. The couple's wedding was supposed to take place in Japan by the end of 2019.
However, after their supposed big dag, the news broke they had to postpone their wedding. A source explained they had to move it to a later date because their preferred venue was not available.
Meanwhile, Perry has been sharing a series of photos of her growing baby bump on Instagram. The American Idol judge is very proud to become a soon mother, saying she is a "large, Marge in charge" in another interview on The Kyle & Jackie O Show.
Despite being heavy with a child, Perry said she is a very active woman and mom. She even teased that she is writing out songs, which she will be putting out on a record on Aug. 14, amid the COVID-19 pandemic and what she called American Revolution.
