To date, the Microsoft Surface Duo is nowhere in sight. Teasers have been coming out but it appears that is the nearest anyone will get to see Microsoft's first dual-screen foldable device. Regardless, Microsoft executives seem to be making sure that the said device does not get overshadowed.

So far, the latest on the Microsoft Surface Duo is that is has passed certification in certain agencies. Hence, some have taken it as a sign that the device could be coming out any time now. But then again, it may be a ploy to make sure that they don't fall out of circulation. With the Samsung event coming up in a couple of weeks, interest right now is on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2.

That in mind, it appears Microsoft is making sure it does not fall out of sight. However, it will come to the point where consumers want to see the actual product out in the open. The answer to that remains unknown.

Hence, folks who are eager to find out more about the real status of the Microsoft Surface Duo can only bank on what the company is sharing. Photos of the dual-screen device emerged recently courtesy of Corporate VP for Modern Life and Devices Liat Ben-zur. It showed off an image of two kids checking out some apps. From the Twitter photo, it shows off how the foldable device would look like in tent mode.

Before that, there was also a video showing CVP of Commercial Management Experiences Brad Anderson showing off some behind-the-scenes footage via The Shiproom podcast.

Finally, there was Joe Belfiore, Corporate Vice President in the Experiences and Devices division at Microsoft, who was showing off the Surface Duo when he and his family went to Disneyworld. The photo was reportedly taken on July 24, 2020, although it is possible that this was a past picture.

So while many are still left guessing on when they could see the Microsoft Surface Duo, these teasers are trying to keep its brouhaha in the air. With Samsung potentially getting to the top of the list since it has something to show, it will be interesting when the Redmond company will finally lift the covers on the foldable device. Keeping the hype up, for now, may suffice but a tangible product is what most want to see. There are signs of its coming but nothing has come close to seeing the much-ballyhooed Microsoft Surface Duo.
