Princess Anne seemed surprised that it took The Crown's hair department two hours to copy her signature hairstyle. The Princess Royal revealed she spent much less time doing her locks, and it never took her even an hour to do so.

The Princess Royal revealed she read an article about Erin Doherty, who played the teenage version of the Royal in the Netflix series. The 28-year-old actress revealed they would usually take two hours to imitate her hair.

In the new ITV documentary to mark the princess' 70th birthday next month, she cleared she wasn't watching either on the streaming website or The Crown itself. However, she admitted she watched the earlier episodes and found it "interesting" but later stopped watching itPeople noted.

Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip's only daughter wondered how it could possibly take the show's style department two hours to do the hair. The 69-year-old Royal revealed it only takes her ten to 15 minutes to style her mane.

In an interview with Town & Country, Doherty revealed perfecting her character's hair was "its own beast." When the hairstyling started, she would sit in the chair, and people would come in and go. She would continuously sit in the same place until they're finished.

The Les Misérables star knew Princess Anne's hairstyle and fashion were an essential part of her character. She explained it was the way the Royal expressed herself in the "confined and controlled" environment that she grew up in.

Meanwhile, in the same documentary, Princess Anne talked about social media use as she took part in several virtual meetings when the COVID-19 pandemic started to grapple the U.K. When the government began to ban public outings, the Royal Family shifted to do their royal duties onlineIndependent noted.

But, for Princess Anne, nothing could beat face-to-face meetings. With the online technology, she said being in touch is important but it would never be the same as the in-person meeting.

The ability to meet other people makes a huge difference than doing it online. Although she basically knows what Twitter is, she will never go anywhere near it even if she gets paid.

Princess Anne, also, said that social media is adding to the pressures that the younger royals already faced, like Prince William and Kate Middleton and Princess Harry and Meghan Markle. She said there were no social media back in her days. So, it, probably, made things more difficult today.
